Go On Safari With LeRoy Neiman
at The Wildlife Experience

DENVER-August 12, 2003- The exclusive showing of LeRoy Neiman: On Safari is scheduled to open at The Wildlife Experience on September 13, 2003. This exhibit is a collection of artwork inspired by Mr. Neiman's travels in Africa.

Recognized as the most popular living American artist today, LeRoy Neiman is known for his portraits of sports figures, sporting scenes and celebrities. LeRoy Neiman: On Safari is a departure from his signature works, exhibiting the depth and scope of his incredible talent. On Safari is comprised of an impressive array of wildlife that Neiman observed while on safari in Africa. The artist has assembled a beautiful collection of wildlife art for this exhibit, including images of lion, elephant, cape buffalo, rhinoceros, warthog, baboon, wildebeest and hippopotamus. Also included in this exhibit is portraiture of African Maasai people.

The purpose of this exhibit is to offer an opportunity to view a large collection of specially selected works and to experience a tangent of Neiman's artistry, with which many may not be familiar. Accompanying this exhibit will be photographs of LeRoy Neiman and videos in which he explains the subjects and techniques employed in his artwork. A timeline is used to document and highlight Neiman's numerous achievements during his illustrious and successful career.

As a companion exhibit to LeRoy Neiman: On Safari, will be of twenty sports-related serigraphs. These pieces will include images from the Denver Broncos, ski slopes and championship golf.

LeRoy Neiman: On Safari is a comprehensive and thorough collection of his artwork, ranging from representations of wildlife, to cultural and sports-related work. This exhibit is sure to satisfy any LeRoy Neiman fan and will provide a rich and exciting experience in viewing his work. It is the perfect complement to The Wildlife Experience, as both celebrate and serve to protect our natural world. A handsome, full-color 48-page catalogue will be available at the exhibition.
