DENVER- February 6, 2004 - Experience a turbulent white-water rafting trip down the Colorado River. Soar over the vast expanse the United States' greatest natural landmark. Take a trip through time to experience the rich history of the Grand Canyon. The Wildlife Experience announces Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets as its next film to be shown on the Museum's iWERKS Extreme Screen Theater.

The award-winning Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets-one of the first films to be shot on large-format film-takes viewers on a breathtaking journey - through millennia of human history in a natural wonder renowned for its grandeur and beauty. The film begins nearly 4,000 years ago with the canyon's earliest known inhabitants, the Native American Anasazi, and goes on to document modern Grand Canyon expeditions, including those of Spanish explorers and Major John Wesley Powell. The camera captures explorers' awe at seeing for the first time what the Colorado River began creating millions of years ago. Along the way, the film gives viewers a chance to experience the Grand Canyon, as few visitors are able to do on their own - from a flight over the attraction's vast span to whitewater rafting in the depths of the canyon.

Grand Canyon will be showing on The Wildlife Experience's iWERKS Extreme Screen. This state of the art large-format theater boasts a powerful DTS digital cinema sound system and films are projected onto a screen that towers over four and a half stories high. Also showing at the Museum is Africa: The Serengeti, an award-winning epic film about life and survival on the African Serengeti.

Grand Canyon begins showing at The Wildlife Experience on February 28th. For show times, ticket information and general information about The Wildlife Experience, please call (720) 488-3300.
