DENVER — March 22, 2005- Colorado’s newest cultural attraction, The Wildlife Experience, hosts a family celebration on the first Saturday of every month. The museum invites visitors of all ages to experience the wonders of the earth’s wild places and celebrate our world’s diverse cultures and wildlife through an array of fun-filled activities. The next Family Fun Day will be Saturday, April 2nd.

Family Fun Day features a variety of cultural and educational activities for children of all ages. Activities may include arts and crafts, storytelling, games and a scavenger hunt. Kids can also leave with a work of art for all to see as a face painter will be available from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Retail Gift Shop and the Café offer 10% discounts on Family Fun Day for families to make the most of their adventure at The Wildlife Experience.

In addition to the various art and natural history galleries, several innovative multiple-media exhibits are featured throughout the museum. The largest of these exhibits is the 315-person iWERKS® and DTS digital sound theater where guests are able to view an array of large-format films. The theater is currently showing Roar: Lions of the Kalahari and The Living Sea. Call (720) 488-3300, or visit thewildlifeexperience.org, for movie show times. Along with the iWERKS® Theater, there are several large screen displays that project high-definition video and 3-D computer graphics on various conservation efforts from around the world. Throughout the museum, there are interactive kiosks that allow visitors to learn about wildlife and conservation through video, animation, text and video games. One of these interactive areas is the National Geographic Channel Theater. Each of these theaters and interactive stations communicates the museum’s mission to visitors through advanced technologies in compelling and dynamic forms.
