New Works by Local Artist Larry Fanning at The Wildlife Experience

DENVER - August 24, 2005 - In conjunction with its third anniversary, The Wildlife Experience will be exhibiting a collection of recent works by local artist, Larry Fanning. The exhibit, Wild and Free: New Works of Art by Larry Fanning, will be on display beginning September 10.

The majority of the artwork in this show is for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Wildlife Experience. Fanning’s works have been a permanent fixture in the museum and the artist and his wife have been actively involved in the museum since its inception. On Saturday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. Larry Fanning, will be conducting a “Walk and Talk” through this exhibit.

Fanning is well-known for his larger-than-life paintings of the American West and of wildlife. His images are exquisitely detailed and portray life-like renderings of his subjects. Fanning’s work is published by Mill Pond Press and has been featured on the covers of magazines such as “Wildlife Art,” “ArtRevue,” and “Safari Press.” He has also been featured in “Colorado Expression,” “Colorado Homes & Lifestyles,” and the Spotlight section of the Rocky Mountain News.

Additionally, The Wildlife Experience will be showcasing an exhibit entitled Timberline…from the Permanent Collection. Timberline is comprised of nearly 15 pieces of art and taxidermy of North American subjects.

Both Wild and Free: New Works of Art by Larry Fanning and Timberline…from the Permanent Collection will be on display from September 10 through December 4, 2005.
