DENVER - June 20, 2007 - The Wildlife Experience hosts a family celebration on the first and third Saturdays of every month. The museum invites visitors of all ages to experience the wonders of the earth's wild places and celebrate our world's diverse wildlife through an array of fun-filled activities. Family Fun Day features a variety of educational activities that may include arts and crafts, storytelling, games and a scavenger hunt. The next Family Fun Days will be Saturday, July 7 and July 21.

At the July 7 Family Fun Day, WOLF will present an hour-long presentation giving detailed information on everything about wolves from physical characteristics to pack dynamics and social behavior. There will be time at the end of the presentation for a question and answer session as well as "wolf-mingling." The presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m.

On the July 21 Family Fun Day, join the DeWildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust for a live Cheetah Presentation at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Learn about current issues in the "Race Against Extinction," including cheetah relocation, predation problems, and even how to become a cheetah sponsor.

In addition to the various art and natural history galleries, several innovative multi-media exhibits are featured throughout the museum. Discovery Den, features fun and exciting educational exhibits for kids ages 6-12, and Cubs Corner offers fun games, puzzles and crafts for kids up to age 5. The Extreme Screen Theater is currently showing Wolves and Beavers. Call 720.488.3300, or visit thewildlifeexperience.org, for movie show times.

Along with Discovery Den and the Extreme Screen Theater, are galleries that host rotating exhibits throughout the year, including Wolf to Woof: The Story of Dogs and My Home Planet Earth. Wolf to Woof is the largest and most comprehensive traveling exhibition ever created to explore the history, biology and development of dogs and the role of dogs in human societies. The exhibition is on display at The Wildlife Experience through October 7.

My Home Planet Earth is a bilingual English and Spanish, hands-on exhibit designed to help children learn how the choices they make regarding food, water and air affect their health. My Home Planet Earth is a nationally-touring exhibit and project of the Children's Museum and Baylor College of Medicine.

Throughout the museum, interactive kiosks allow visitors to learn about wildlife and conservation through video, animation and video games. Each of these exhibits and interactive elements communicates the museum’s mission to visitors through advanced technologies in compelling and dynamic forms.
